St Albans Sustfest

Our focus during Sustfest 2022 is to encourage our community to grow plants that will feed pollinators (bees and butterflies).  We will be giving away a selection of plants that do this. But what more fun and exciting way to feed bees is there than by growing sunflowers?   So we will be giving away giant sunflower seeds and challenging those who take them to grow the tallest!

Why do we want to do this?  We believe that God has entrusted human beings with the care of his creation.  Bees and Butterflies are a vital part of our natural world, and they are under threat so every little thing we can do to help them is important.  For more information on the plight of our pollinators and ideas for how to help protect them see Save bees and pollinators | The Wildlife Trusts
